About Off the Grid

Off the Grid is a private holding company based in Paris and Milan. It is not a fund, not an incubator, and not a family office in the traditional sense. It is simply the vehicle through which we own and support a small collection of companies and ideas.

The name is deliberate. Most of what we do happens outside the usual channels: no press releases, no pitch decks, no LP updates. We prefer to work with founders who care more about the work than the narrative around it.

What we invest in

We only incubate or invest in projects rooted in insurance, artificial intelligence, or blockchain. The best opportunities sit at the intersection of all three.

• Insurance, because it is the industry I know and have built in for decades.
• Artificial intelligence, because it is reshaping how risk is understood and served, and because it is reshaping how companies are created and run through automation.
• Blockchain, because it can make trust, ownership, and contracts more transparent, and because it defines how financial transactions will be built in the future.

What we look for

• Founders with deep, often unfair, domain expertise.
• Businesses that can compound for decades rather than exit in three years.
• Capital-light models that reward patience and discipline.
• Small teams that punch above their weight.

How we work

We do not have a fixed check size or a fixed structure. We can buy a company outright, take a minority stake, or simply provide capital and advice. The common thread is that we stay close to the founders and give them time.
